At the request of Mr. Hervé Morin, President of the Normandy Region, an ethics committee was established to provide an opinion on the "Normandy Memory" project, also known by its former name, "Homage to the Heroes." This committee, composed of twelve members, is co-chaired by the national president of Le Souvenir Français and the president of the D-Day Landing Committee.
The ethics committee's report was presented to journalists on July 2, 2024.
