The Airan attacks, organized by the Francs-Tireurs et Partisans (FTP) network on the night of April 16 and May 1, 1942, were the largest organized by the Resistance in France. They provoked an unprecedented wave of arrests and deportations in Calvados.
Documentary produced by the Institute of Social History of the CGT of Calvados, partly based on documents kept in the Archives of Calvados and linked to the work Resistance and Sabotage in Normandy published in 1992 by the historian Jean Quellien.
