From March 20 to April 30, 2026 , young people aged 15 to 25 are called upon to participate in the vote to designate the winner of the 2026 Freedom Prize , an international initiative that honors individuals and organizations committed to defending fundamental freedoms.
An international jury of committed young people
Last February, an international jury of 24 young people from 14 countries (Germany, Benin, Denmark, United States, France, Ghana, Guinea, Haiti, India, Italy, Madagascar, Norway, Switzerland, and Ukraine) selected three nominees. These inspiring individuals embody major struggles for human rights around the world.

China Labor Watch: Defending Workers' Rights
Founded in 2000 by activist Li Qiang, China Labor Watch is an NGO that investigates working conditions in factories, particularly in China.
The organization denounces numerous violations: child labor, forced overtime, discriminationIt actively works to improve working conditions and protect workers' rights internationally.
Nemonte Nenquimo: Protecting the Amazon and Indigenous Peoples
Nemonte Nenquimo, Ecuadorian indigenous leader, is the first woman to lead the Waorani nation. She fights for the preservation of the Amazon and the rights of indigenous peoples.
Co-founder of the Ceibo Allianceshe received the prestigious Goldman Environmental Prize in 2020 after a historic victory allowing to protect 500 hectares of forest against oil exploitation.
Matiullah Wesa: a fight for girls' education
Afghan militant, Matiullah Wesa is the founder of the Pen Path organization. He works to guarantee access to education for all, especially for girls.
In 2023, he was imprisoned for seven months by the Taliban because of his activism. Even today, he continues to defend the fundamental right to education.
